Here's a guideline to help parents and students decide how much time to dedicate to practice during the week. Our philosophy is the quality of the practice is more valuable than the amount of time spent practicing. A student can spend 20 minutes running through their songs without any intent or goal in mind. A student could also spend 10 minutes focusing on a specific part of a song that is giving them trouble. The ten minutes of focused practice is much more valuable than the 20 minutes of going through the motions. If you combine steady, consistent practice with focus and intent, there is no limit to where your skills as a musician can go!
