Lessons
for all ages
Our lessons are based on Music Learning Theory, a sequential learning process that helps students hear and perform music with understanding. The music learning process is similar to how a child learns language and involves several key steps. First, one begins by listening to music. Next, students acquire a rhythm and tonal vocabulary through singing, chanting, and movement. The process continues with thinking, improvising, and audiating the music mentally. Afterward, reading music comes into play, and finally, writing music completes the cycle.
